Maris Racal enjoyed her time working with Dolly de Leon
Kapamilya actress Maris Racal revealed the attitude of Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon on the set of their digital series Simula sa Gitna, a spin-off of the award-winning movie Hintayan ng Langit.
Maris has come a long way from being one of the Pinoy Big Brother housemates. From that Kapamilya reality show, she has done various projects. She was featured in teleseryes and movies. Maris also ventured into music and released songs.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Maris was asked about her experience working with Dolly, who has several international projects.
Maris Racal shared that she had an important realization in her project with the acclaimed actress. She said that with Dolly de Leon, she realized that one can be so cool and grounded but at the same being so talented.
“Iba si Miss Dolly na katrabaho. Hindi mo mararamdaman sa kaniya what she has achieve sa buhay niya,” the younger actress shared. Maris added that Dolly was just being normal and this is part of her identity.
“Sobrang relaxed niya sa set, tahimik, but like when kailangang mag-work, she delivers,” the Kapamilya actress added.
Maris also shared that one important lesson she learned from Dolly is that what you think of yourself is what matters and not what other people think of you. She said that she is not minding the expectations of other people and she does not base her worth on other people’s opinions.
Instead, she would challenge her opinion of herself. Maris said that at times, what she says about herself is sometimes harsher and this is what she is challenging that she should be more positive in commenting about herself.
“Dati kasi mas mahina pa ako emotionally, hindi pa ako matatag. Parang mas mabilis akong umiyak like, ‘Oh my God, sinabi niya hindi ako magaling,’ iiyak na ako. Then lagi ko naiisip, nakaka-recover naman ako, kasi kaya ko naman,” Maris Racal said.
