Dolly de Leon has several international projects lining up
Filipina actress Dolly de Leon has an upcoming series with Hollywood star Nicole Kidman and several other international projects.
Dolly’s career in the international entertainment scene skyrocketed when she joined the cast of the movie Triangle of Sadness. From that, more doors have opened for her in Hollywood. Even though she is doing international projects now, Dolly refuses to be called a “Hollywood Star.”
Next year, the Pinay actress will once again showcase Filipino talent to the world. Based on the article in PEP, she is set to go to Munich, Germany in January 2024 for the filming of the series Nine Perfect Strangers which is streaming on the platform Hulu.
The news about her inclusion in the second season of the series circulated last June. Nine Perfect Strangers which is based on the novel by Liane Moriarty debuted on August 18, 2021. For the second season, Nicole Kidman will also join the cast as Masha Dmitrichenko, head of the wellness resort Tranquillum House.
Dolly is happy that finally, they will start filming for this project. The shoot had to be postponed because of the actor’s strike from July 14 to November 9. This situation made the Pinay actress remain silent about the project and other international projects she is set to do.
Dolly shared that she will definitely enjoy filming this project. However. she also admitted that this could be a challenging one.
“And I’m sure it’s also gonna be challenging kasi siyempre ang liit lang ng cast and it’s super cold there, [it’s] winter, so it’s gonna be challenging, but that’s part of it,” the internationally acclaimed actress said.
She shared that she only read the scripts for the first to the sixth episode. Dolly is still waiting for the seventh, eighth, and ninth episodes.
Aside from this series with Nicole Kidman, Dolly de Leon also have three movie projects. “Yung ginawa ko nung April, yung Between the Temples tsaka yung Ghost Light tsaka Grand Death Lotto, lalabas na next year,” the actress shared.
