Authorities Reveal Identities of Victims in Victory Liner Incident
VICTORY LINER INCIDENT – The identities of the two victims who were shot dead inside a public bus has been revealed.
On Wednesday (November 15, 2023), “Victory Liner” became a trending topic on “X” formerly known as Twitter, following a shooting incident within the bus. The incident took place around noon in Barangay Minuli, Caranglan, Nueva Ecija.
In the initial investigation, the police authorities revealed that the Victory Liner Bus with plate number CAY 3363 came from the terminal in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The CCTV footage or dashcam video from the bus captured the suspects, who were passengers seated at the back, standing up and proceeding to the front. Without warning, they shot the sleeping live-in partner seated at the front.
The driver, alerted to the incident, stopped the bus as the suspects fled. The suspects reportedly told the driver to stop because they were getting off at that location, providing them an opportunity to escape. The suspects did not hurt others after shooting their main target.
The bus driver quickly directed the vehicle to the PNP Caranglan, with the victims on board, to report the incident.
Meanwhile, the victims were identified as Gloria Mendoza Quillano, 60 years old, from Sta. Lucia, Cauayan City, Isabela, and Arman Bautista, 50 years old, hailing from Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The victims boarded the bus in Cauayan City, Isabela, while the suspects got on in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
Currently, the authorities are actively investigating the incident to identify and locate the suspects involved in this heinous crime.
