PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon will bring overcast skies and isolated rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (October 27, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon, localized thunderstorms, and a trough of a low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will experience the same weather conditions.
The trough of a low-pressure area and the localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“’Yun pong low pressure area ay nasa labas pa rin po ng Philippine area of responsibility. Kasalukuyan, mababa ang tyansa [nito] na pumasok sa ating PAR,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
