PAGASA Says Generally Fair Weather Will Prevail Over Most Parts of PH, Chances of Rains Are Possible Due to Localized Thunderstorms
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau is monitoring cloudy clusters outside PAR, shearling, and amihan to bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (October 25, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Shear line and the northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that cloud clusters outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility will be monitored in the coming days. The cloud clusters have a low chance of developing into a typhoon.
“Mayroong mga kaulapan tayong namamataan dito sa may silangang bahagi, sa labas ng PAR, mga cloud cluster ito na sa ngayon ay maliit pa naman ang tyansa na maging bagyo pero patuloy pa rin nating imo-monitor sa mga susunod na araw,” Badrina said.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Northern Quezon.
“Posibleng medyo malaki pa rin ‘yung tiyansa ng mga pag-ulan dito sa may bahagi ng Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan, at gayon din sa may northern Quezon,” said Badrina.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Generally fair weather conditions are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. However, chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected due to the localized thunderstorms.
