Alden Richards catches people’s attention with this Halloween costume
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards revealed the story behind his “casual” Halloween costume at the second edition of Sparkle Spell Halloween Party.
Alden is one of the male celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry who dresses well. His fashion style complements his looks and posture. During events, the Kapuso actor has showcased his elegant wardrobe and his expensive accessories.
However, in a recent Kapuso event, the Pambansang Bae appeared to have taken less effort. He was just wearing a black shirt with the silhouette of Godzilla and black pants.
Alden Richards was also carrying a bouquet of flowers. Based on the article in PEP, this surprised a lot of people. Probably, one of the reasons why they reacted that way is because other Kapuso artists exerted a lot of effort in showcasing their Halloween costumes while Alden only had a sort of a “casual” get-up.
His inspiration in this is his character Lance Sandoval in his new movie Five Breakups and a Romance with Kapamilya actress Julia Montes. The actor was wearing this wardrobe in the scene in which he visited Julia’s character in her workplace in Singapore.
He explained that the Godzilla print on his shirt has a connotation. “I am dressed as my character dun sa movie na Five Breakups and a Romance, si Lance Sandoval. So, parang hindi pa kasi nare-reveal kung bakit talaga Godzilla yung logo sa T-shirt ni Lance. So ngayon ko siya i-reveal. Alam naman natin na si Godzilla is a wrecker of cities, di ba? Pag napapanood natin this past sa mga movies niya, lagi siyang ganun, the destroyer,” he said.
Alden further explained that the analogy in this is that his character might destroy the life of Julia’s character Justine. He pointed out that a life being destroyed is one of the scariest things that will happen. “So this is a very deep costume pero simpleng-simple,” the Kapuso actor shared.
Meanwhile, Alden Richards and Julia Montes were able to form a friendship between them while filming for their first movie together. The actor penned a sweet message for Julia while the actress said that Alden is a genuine person.
