TJ Monterde recently had a two-day concert and the tickets were sold-out. The concert of the singer-songwriter was directed by John Prats who led the team that visualized the whole event.

JOHN PRATS – The actor-turned-director spoke about singer TJ Monterde after he directed his two-day sold-out concerts.
Many people will agree that TJ Monterde is one of the most excellent singers in the Philippine music industry. A lot of people can relate to the message of many of his songs which were written from the heart. Undeniably, his recent song Palagi is a favorite of countless people across the nation.
TJ Monterde is a singer-songwriter from Davao City. The 34-year old singer is married to fellow singer, KZ Tandingan, his girlfriend for several years before they officially tied the knot. It was in August 28, 2023 when TJ and KZ’s second wedding was held at The Farm at San Benito.
Recently, TJ held a two-day concert entitled Sariling Mundo at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City. He had sold-out concerts.
The two-day sold-out concerts of TJ Monterde were directed by actor-turned-filmmaker John Prats. Based on a recent article on PUSH, in an interview after the concerts, the actor-turned-director said that the concert of TJ speaks of him.
“Yung napanood niyo, siya talaga, iyong kuwento niya,” John said.
According to John Prats, their team visualized what is in the heart of TJ, what is in his mind, and the message of his songs to be able to deliver to the audience what the singer wants and to become an inspiration.
For his part, TJ Monterde has nothing but good words as well about John Prats. He admitted that he frankly told the actor-director that he does not dance and he also does not belt out while singing.
“Kuwento lang po ang mayroon ako at mga kanta ko. Ayon lang po ang bala ko,” the singer said.
John Prats was a hands-on director as for TJ. The singer stressed that he really attends and watches the rehearsals and he also talk to him about what they can do. According to the actor-turned-filmmaker, they built the concert together and when the singer has an idea, it multiplies and the concert was completed in the rehearsals.
