David Licauco had surgery
Kapuso actor David Licauco shared an update after going through a sleep apnea surgery just recently.
David is one of the hunk actors of the Kapuso network. Through his Instagram Page, the actor shares his fitness routines once in a while aside from recent projects on TV and movies, as well as endorsement projects.
Just recently, it was revealed that David was suffering from a sleep disorder called sleep apnea. To address this medical issue, the actor decided to undergo surgery called radiofrequency ablation. This lasted for only 30 minutes.
David Licauco is thankful that the surgery went well and he is better now. In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the actor shared that he has been suffering from this condition for many years already. His breathing would stop while he was sleeping.
David shared the effect of this condition on his body. “Usually, sa umaga, talagang wala ako sa mood, and then, hirap ako huminga pagkagising ko. So it takes a while talaga for me to warm up,” he said.
After the surgery, he can sleep better. “Today parang ‘Uy, wow. Ito pala ‘yung feeling ng maayos ‘yung tulog,'” the actor shared.
He can say that he slept well after the surgery. “What they did was parang cinauterize nila ‘yung other part of my nose kasi my nose has a blockage, so ‘yung airway ko hindi siya nakakadaan. Kapag natutulog ako, nagko-close siya,” he said.
On the other hand, David said that he still needs to undergo another procedure for him to have flawless sleep.
The actor shared that having this kind of condition does not just affect one’s work but also how a person communicates with other people. Without enough sleep or disturbed sleep due to health reasons, a person can be moody in the morning and this mood can extend until the afternoon.
“Pasensya na kung minsan eh mukha akong wala sa mood but I’m getting there, I’m getting better, and I’m improving,” David Licauco said.
Meanwhile, David answered the accusation that he is a clout chaser after posting his photo with Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo.
