Here’s the recent update on cases filed against Awra Briguela
Kapamilya star Awra Briguela is facing three (3) more changes after the viral incident that she was involved with in a bar in Makati City.
In a viral video, she was seen fighting against a group of men and while policemen were trying to hold her down, she was still in a rage. A statement from her friend surfaced online after the incident.
That friend claimed that Awra just defended her after she allegedly received “pambabastos.” Following this, celebrity friends of Awra and her fans made the #JusticeForAwra trend on Twitter, now called X.
However, CCTV footage surfaced later on, and netizens criticized her for allegedly starting the fight. Awra Briguela faced physical injuries and assault complaints after the said incident.
In a recent report from Inquirer, it was said that the Kapamilya star faces three more charges. Complainant Mark Christian Ravana filed additional complaints of light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the Safe Spaces Act, or the “Bawal Bastos” law against the Kapamilya star on August 16.
“Ang hirap po matanggap na nangyari po ito kasi isa lang po akong tahimik na normal na tao,” the complainant said. Ravana also said that Awra’s camp has not reached out to him until now. His legal counsel believes that they have a strong case against the Kapamilya star. They have this stand because the CCTVs are very clear.
Following her silence for quite some time, Awra Briguela broke her social media hiatus to promote a new Prime Video comedy show. She is one of the cast members of Comedy Island Philippines which also features Andrea Brillantes, Carlo Aquino, Drew Arellano, Rufa Mae Quinto, Jerald Napoles, Justin Luzares, and Cai Cortez.
