Mario Dumaual Hospitalized After Suffering Heart Attack
MARIO DUMAUAL – ABS-CBN’s seasoned showbiz broadcaster Mario Dumaual was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
Mario Dumaual, a seasoned entertainment broadcaster for ABS-CBN, suffered a heart attack and was subsequently taken to the intensive care unit (ICU), his family announced on Thursday as they pleaded for prayers for their patriarch.
It “has been a difficult week,” according to Miguel Dumaual, an ABS-CBN reporter, in a Facebook post, but they are managing thanks to a steady stream of supportive messages from friends and family. “Papa suffered a heart attack last Monday and remains under critical care today, three days on. But he can now at least tell us, during the few times he’s given his phone while isolated, that he misses and wishes to be with us. I’ve never treasured a message so much after what Papa went through and is still hurdling,” he said in his post.
Miguel Dumaual added that his dad “has never been confined in my 32 years, so this experience has been overwhelming.”
Friends and well-wishers of Mario Dumaual are pleading for prayers and encouraging thoughts as he continues his road to recovery. The Dumaual family is certain that in the days ahead, they will have even more causes for Thanksgiving, including the wonderful moment when Mario returns home.

Gary Valenciano’s wife Angeli Pangilinan, also expressed her sincere worry for Mario Dumaual’s welfare. She told him about a previous incident where she hugged Mario and told him to be brave because she was worried something bad would happen to him. Unaware of the impending health concern, the duo even shot a selfie together.
“Please could you please pray for the recovery and healing of our good friend from ABS-CBN TV Patrol’s Mario Dumaual, one of my sweetest and dearest friends in showbiz,” Angeli said.
