SULTAN KUDARAT – A vice mayoralty candidate in the province died amid the campaign period for the upcoming election 2019.
The Election 2019 is fast approaching. Now, it is less than a month before the public would exercise their right to vote once again. The candidates are undeniably taking a double time in campaigning.
However, there are also risks in these busy moments for the re-electionists and the new political candidates. The intense heat of the sun and the possible skipping of meals to get through with the busy schedule are inevitable. These may also trigger certain medical conditions.
Recently, a vice mayoralty candidate in Sultan Kudarat died due to a medical condition amid the campaign period for the upcoming political bid.
Based on a GMA News SONA report, the candidate for vice mayor in Sultan Kudarat identified as Alimudin “Butch” Diarol experienced heart attack amid the campaign.
Specifically, the incident happened in Kalamansig, a first class municipality in the province. Reportedly, the vice mayoralty candidate was rushed to Cotabato Regional Medical Center.
However, Diarol did not survive his medical condition. According to the report, he is experiencing a heart ailment since before. In obedience to the Islam tradition, he was already laid to rest yesterday.
