Joey de Leon shared these meaningful posts after they departed from TAPE Inc.
Henyo Master Joey de Leon appeared to be hinting at the next step that Eat Bulaga will take after he and the rest of the Dabarkads decided to leave TAPE Inc.
Joey is the one who created the title of the longest-running noontime show which has been airing for 44 years now while his co-host Bossing Vic Sotto was the one who created the show’s popular theme song.
Following the unexpected announcement that the Dabarkads made led by former Senate President Tito Sotto on May 31, fans of the noontime show are wondering what will happen next.
Previously, Tito Sen said that definitely, they will continue the show on online platforms. Some speculations surfaced that they might transfer to TV5. It was confirmed that TVJ had a negotiation with Brightlight Productions owner Albee Benitez, a block timer on the Kapatid network.
It was also reported that the show was offered by PTV and some speculated that they might be on Net25 since the TVJ has their solo shows there.
A few days after that unexpected announcement, Joey de Leon shared a meaningful tweet. In his Twitter post on the night of June 3, he featured the music video of Dolly Parton’s song 9 to 5.
A netizen interpreted that this means that Eat Bulaga started on RPN 9 and they will be going to air on TV5 soon.
On his Instagram post, the Henyo Master once again highlighted the word “Five.” “Sabi ko noon, we are not signing off, we are just taking a day-off. In other words, pahinga muna. In Engish, TAKE FIVE!” he wrote in the caption of his post.
For some netizens, this was a sort of confirmation from Joey de Leon that their show is transferring to TV5. Here are some of the comments.
