The son of Joey de Leon has this tweet about Eat Bulaga that caught the attention of the online community
Jako de Leon, the son of Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon reacted to the statement of TAPE Inc., following the hosts and staff’s decision to leave the Romy Jalosjos-owned production company.
Aside from being the son of Henyo Master, Jako also had collaborations with the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines. The content creator/producer was one of the many showbiz personalities in front and behind the camera who showed sympathy and supported the people working in the show for many years.
Following the unexpected announcement that Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon did regarding their decision to depart from TAPE Inc., the production company also released a statement.
For Jako, the TAPE’s statement was a show of disrespect to TVJ who have been the pillar of the show for 44 years, as well as to other hosts and people working behind the camera. The son of Joey also slammed that quoted lyrics that the statement used.
“Batanes bro, wtf. [man facepalming emoji] Mula Batanes. At least get it right,” he wrote in his tweet featuring a written copy of the statement signed by TAPE Inc CEO and President Jon Jalosjos.
“Exhibit XYZ: just wanted to point out the hilarity, unoriginality and downright audacity of these guys,” Jako added.
Following the clarification that Jako did about the lyrics, he also pointed out that the “Coney Reyes” and “Aiza” in the original lyrics were also changed.
“Guys, just wanted to point out as well that “… Si Aiza aaaaat Si Coney” has also been changed. FYI lang,” the son of Joey de Leon said.
He also added, “Also, wala na si Tita Coney and Tito Vic, matagal na, but they’re still good friends [heart hand emoji] Ice na rin tawag namin kay Aiz. Sadly, wala akong balita kay Bikoy the baboy.”
