Traffic Enforcer Shot Dead by a Drunk Motorcycle Driver in Cavite
A traffic enforcer was declared dead on the spot after being shot by a drunk motorcycle driver in Tanza, Cavite.
After being detained for drunk driving, a traffic enforcer was shot in the head by a motorbike rider. According to the report, the deceased enforcer was William Mentes Quiambao, a traffic enforcer with the Tanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) and a resident of Barangay Tres Cruces.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s name is Joseph Llagas, and he is also a Tanza inhabitant. According to the Tanza Police Station, Quiambao and some traffic enforcers stopped Llagas on Daang Amaya 2 because they saw him driving inebriated.
Aries Carlos, the suspect’s back rider, has also been identified. Llgas was questioned for an alleged traffic offense. However, the suspect suddenly grabbed a gun, and Llagas was heard firing five times, according to a video that circulated on social media.
Three bullets struck Quiambao in the head, prompting the suspect to flee on a motorcycle with his rider. Attempts were made to bring him to Tanza Specialist Medical Center, but he was proclaimed dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the Tanza Municipal Police Station has begun an immediate hot pursuit operation in connection with the shooting incident. Based on the report, to apprehend the offender, the Tanza MPS performed an on-the-spot investigation and initiated an extensive hot pursuit operation.
The operation required a concerted effort by highly competent intelligence officers, retracing of accessible CCTV footage, and the use of all available resources to locate and apprehend the perpetrator.
