PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA said easterlies will bring isolated rainshowers over some parts of the country.
On Monday (May 8, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area spotted 410 kilometers northeast of Pagasa Island, Palawan left the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The Easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country.
“Kaninang alas dos ng umaga ay tuluyan na ngang lumabas ng PAR itong LPA na ating minomonitor at sa kasalukuyan at sa mga susunod pang mga oras ay wala na itong magiging direktang epekto sa mga bahagi ng ating bansa,” state weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.
The Easterlies / Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.
“Kaya for the next 24 hours sa Metro Manila and the rest of the country ay makakaranas pa rin tayo ng pangkalahatang maaliwalas na panahon mainit at maalinsangang umaga hanggang tanghali at may tsansa tayong ng mga localized thunderstorms sa dakong hapon hanggang sa gabi,” Villamil added.
The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
