PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Low Pressure Area will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (May 6, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Low Pressure Area will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure areas spotted 115 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan will bring cloudy condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition due to the easterlies and Intertropical Convergence Zone.
The weather agency warned the public for flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
In Metro Manila, the predicted Heat Index spans from a minimum of 40 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 41 degrees Celsius, indicating that the weather will be quite hot.
However, in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, temperatures are expected to soar even higher, with the Heat Index reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius.
The Heat Index is a measure of the perceived temperature that an individual experiences in relation to the real air temperature.
