PAGASA Says LPA & ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and ITCZ will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Friday (May 5, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a Low Pressure Area has been last spotted 95 kilometers east of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan and embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone. It will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The LPA will bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands.
The Easterlies / ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.
The weather agency has warned the public for flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
