Leni Robredo Claps Back at Basher Criticizing Her Egypt Trip

Leni Robredo Response to Basher Claiming She Uses Government Funds for Her Egypt Trip

Former vice president Leni Robredo hits back at the basher who claimed that she uses government funds for her travel in Egypt.

Leni Robredo, the founder of the Angat Buhay Foundation, recently tweeted images from her trip to Egypt. The former presidential candidate’s images can be found on her own social media profiles.

“EGYPT. The pyramids were spectacular!! But Egypt is so much more than the pyramids. It is historical, biblical, fascinating and the 3 days we were there were definitely not enough,” Robredo said in her Instagram caption.

“We only did Cairo and would have wanted to go to Luxor, Alexandria and all the other historical places. It was the exclamation point to our Holy Land Pilgrimage. The Holy Family stayed here for 3 years and only went back to Israel after King Herod died,” she added.

However, a netizen questioned Robredo’s travel in the comments. The troll accused Robredo of using public funds for her trip. Robredo did not miss it and responded appropriately to the basher.

“Are you in a Government working trip or just a fun travel paid for by FILIPINO tax payers?” the basher asked.

“Haha. I’m no longer in government ma’am. Even when I was in government po, not one of my foreign trips was ever charged to the government. Kahit pa po official yung trip. You can check the records,” she humbly responded to the basher.

A worried netizen also informed her that she is not the Philippines’ current vice president. When you look at the comments, you’ll notice that the basher has deleted its comment against Robredo.
