Louie Ignacio was asked about Eat Bulaga
Director Louie Ignacio was offered to be the new director of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga and here is what he said about this.
Amid the issue about the Kapuso noontime show, several versions of the story surfaced online. It was rumored that the iconic trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon will no longer be part of the show and that they are negotiating for the show’s transfer to TV5.
One of the reports that surfaced regarding this issue was that Direk Louie will take over the director’s seat.
In a recent press conference for the movie Papa Mascot, based on the article in PEP, Direk Louie Ignacio appeared to be having second thoughts about accepting the offer to be the director of Eat Bulaga.
He can’t directly answer if he will continue with this stint. “May dalawa pa kaming pelikula na bago. Okay na okay na ako dun. Yung gagawin namin sa Taiwan, medyo malaking project,” he said about the projects he is set to do.
When asked about the offer from the children of Romy Jalosjos, the owner of TAPE Inc. which is the producer of the show.
“I think okay naman sila. Wala pa namang…. malalaman mo kapag may latest na mangyayari. So far, happy pa naman ako sa mga ginagawa kong projects. Masaya ako rito sa Papa Mascot. Excited ako dito,” Direk Louie said.
He added that he is happy now directing Ticktoclock, which is a daily show, as well as The Clash and Sarap Di Ba? With these several projects he is currently doing, the director said that he does not know how to do these at once but he is doing his best.
PEP entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula said that the latest update that they heard was that Direk Louie Ignacio is being advised not to accept the offer to be the director of Eat Bulaga.
