PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (April 10, 2023)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area and northeasterly windflow will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Monday (April 10, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and northeasterly windflow will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA is monitoring a low-pressure area at 905 km east of Mindanao. The low-pressure area’s trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas.

“Base po sa huling datos natin, hindi natin inaalis ang posibilidad na ito ay maging isang bagyo, kung sakali ito ang unang bagyo natin para sa taong 2023 kung saan ang magiging pangalan niyan ay Bagyong Amang,” weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

The northeasterly surface windflow and trough or extension of a low pressure area will bring rains over parts of the country.

The northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy weather condition with rains over Cagayan Valley as well as Northern and Central Luzon.

The Trough of LPA / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well las the remaining parts of the country.

Similar weather condition is expected over Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region due to the northeasterly surface windflow.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over seaboards of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditons.
