PAGASA Says HPA’s Ridge & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition is expected over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (April 5, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ridge of the High Pressure Area and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) extending over Northern Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.
The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate. The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
The weather bureau announced that the entire country will experience a fair weather condition except for isolated rains.
“Sa buong bahagi ng ating bansa ay makakaranas ng bahagyang maulap hanggang maulap na kalangitan, mayroon lang tayong mararanasan pa rin na isolated na pag-ulan, pagkidlat, pagkulog dulot yan ng localized thunderstorms,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
Castañeda reported that there are no weather disturbances being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. However, a low-pressure area was spotted off Mindanao.
Pagasa did not issue a gale warning along any of the country’s coastlines.
