Is it true that Paul Soriano did this in a recent presscon?
Director Paul Soriano allegedly has a “nagwala” moment during the press conference for Hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens.
On March 31, Vanessa received recognition as the Philippines’ global tourism ambassador. Following the awarding ceremony, a press conference was held and it was hosted by King of Talk Boy Abunda, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon.
After the presscon, some reporters were lining up to have a one-on-one interview with the Hollywood actress. It was said that Direk Paul suddenly got angry.
The husband of actress-host Toni Gonzaga is the Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications. He will be doing a documentary with Vanessa Hudgens to promote Philippine tourism.
Reportedly, some reporters who were still there heard Paul Soriano’s alleged rant and one of them was seasoned TV host Christine Jacobs who is working now at CNN Philippines.
“Narinig ng ibang andun pa like Christine Jacob ang mga naganap na maagang dumating sa venue pero nang turn na niyang mag-interview kay Vanessa na willing gumawa ng pelikula sa bansa ay biglang nakitang nagagalit ang director at parang gustong paalisin ang press na andun,” PSN entertainment columnist Salve Asis.
It was alleged that the director strongly said that he does not need the press. With this, other press people were shocked. Reportedly, Vanessa and her Filipina mom Gina and her sister were shocked as well because they knew him as very accommodating.
It was also said that before Direk Paul arrived, some press people were able to interview Vanessa and they admired the kindness of the actress.
According to Asis, after this unexpected incident, Vanessa Hudgens was interviewed by Toni Gonzaga. As of this writing, Direk Paul Soriano has not released yet a statement about this allegation against him.
