Pinoy netizens think that Sandara Park deserves to be PH’s “global tourism ambassador”
K-pop star Sandara Park trended on Twitter on March 31 because of Hollywood actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens.
Sandara is a South Korean who started her career in the entertainment industry in the Philippines. Through the talent search Star Circle Quest, doors of showbiz opened for her. Eventually, she pursued a career in her home country and made it big.
She still has an active career as an actress and singer in South Korea. Even though she is now more focused on her career in South Korea, Sandara never forgets to visit the Philippines, and once in a while, she even does shows and fan meets in the country.
On Friday, Sandara Park topped the Twitter trend and it is because of the recent recognition that Vanessa Hudgens received. The Fil-Am Hollywood star is now the global tourism ambassador for the Philippines, based on ABS-CBN’s report.
This recognition was presented to her in partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications led by Secretary Paul Soriano, and supported by the Department of Tourism.
Vanessa arrived in the Philippines on March 25. It is her first time in the country. She was accompanied by her sister and her mother who is a Pinay.
Because of this, netizens shared their thoughts on the micro-blogging social media platform. They said that Sandara Park is much more Pinoy than Vanessa Hudgens. A lot of netizens said that the K-Pop star is more deserving to be named the Philippines’ global tourism ambassador. Some netizens said that social media star Bretman Rock is more Pinoy than the High School Musical star.
