PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair and warm weather condition is expected over most parts of the country.

On Thursday (March 30, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Easterlies and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will be affecting Metro Manila, parts of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

“Sa kasalukuyan patuloy pa ring umiiral itong easterlies o yung mainit at maalinsangang hanging nagmumula sa karagatang Pasipiko dito sa silangang bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Marinduque.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Visayas, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as the remaining parts of the country.

“Dito sa Metro Manila at nalalabing parte ng ating bansa ay magiging bahagyang maulap lamang ang kalangitan na may tsansa pa rin ng pag-ulan pagkidlat at pagkulog na dadalhin ng localized thunderstorms,” he added.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the rest of the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
