Jake Zyrus’ Mother Raquel Pempengco Reacts on David Foster and Morissette Amon Duet
RAQUEL PEMPENGCO – The mother of Jake Zyrus throws shade on the duet of Canadian singer-songwriter David Foster and Filipina singer Morissette Amon.
Raquel Pempengco viewed films of Canadian composer David Foster’s concert at The Theater in Solaire, where he was joined on stage by some of the country’s performers. Raquel expressed her thoughts on the video she had just watched on Facebook.

Raquel believes that no one can ever replace Charice because there is only one Charice Pempengco. She stated that she is aware of the timbre of voice that the composer seeks and that she has been telling him since the beginning that Charice’s voice is unique.
“‘Talagang wala pa ring ipapalit sa alaska.’ Alm ko ang mga timbre ng boses na hinahanap mo DF..sinabi ko nman sa inyo noon pa…nag iisa lang ang boses na yan. Kahit kanino mo pa ipakanta yang song mo.. Di mabbgyan ng [hustisya].”
She went on to say that because there was only one Charice Pempengco, there were no goosebumps or standing ovations. She even said that it wasn’t David who made Charice famous, but rather Oprah.
“NO GOOSEBUMPs..NO STANDING OVATION..Nothing compares….Nag iisang legendary ng Pilipinas si Charice Pempengco. At para sa kaalaman ng lahat. Hinde po si DF ang nagpasikat sa kanya kundi si OPRAH…nireject nga noon ni DF si Charice. Kaya wag umasa na may isasama pa…masasaktan lang…”she said.
Although no names were stated, many feel Raquel is alluding to Morissette Amon in her Facebook “real talk.” Morissette was a special guest for David’s concert, which took place at The Theater from March 21 to March 26, 2023.
“I Will Always Love You” was one of Morissette’s songs, but David did not offer her a standing ovation. Not like when Charice performed the legendary Whitney Houston song at one of their gigs.
Jake Zyrus, previously Charice Pempengco, is a well-known Filipino singer and songwriter. He was previously recognized as the girl who appeared on international television due to her singing talent.
Jake, formerly Charice Pempengco, is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Jake Zyrus’ last gig in America, according to Ogie Diaz’s source, did not make a profit. The space can accommodate 700 people, but only about 200 individuals showed up.
According to Ogie Diaz’s source, the most typical cause for this incidence is since it appears that most people still prefer Charice Pempengco, the former Jake Zyrus. Remember when Cristy Fermin stated previously that Jake seemed to be struggling to find work and that even David Foster hasn’t been able to help her.
