Herlene Budol has a rags to riches story
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol bought this item worth P1000 when she reached the status of “nakaluwagluwag.”
Herlene is one of the celebrities in the Philippines who experienced poverty before reaching a successful life. In previous interviews and even in her vlogs, the former Wowowin host showed the simple life she had before she became a celebrity.
Eventually, Herlene, with her talent fees and endorsement, was able to provide for her family. She is not ashamed of the life she came from.
From being a contestant in Wowowin, doing “extra” roles, and doing vlogs, she became a beauty queen. Herlene Budol was hailed as the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up. Now, she has her first leading lady role in a TV series. She stars in Magandang Dilag with Benjamin Alves as her leading man.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the actress shared that first item she bought when she could already afford to buy expensive things.
“Pabango, nakabili ako ng one thousand pesos na pabango kasi dati one fifty lang ako. Dalawa ‘yon, two thousand ‘yun pero pang matagalan na po s’ya. Saka tsinelas, nakabili na rin ako ng one thousand pesos na tsinelas,” Herlene shared.
She said that this might be a small thing for other people but for her, it is already remarkable. It is because these are the things she does not have before but she now has the capacity to buy these things.
Herlene Budol is also able to provide things for her family. “Ang pinakamahal po talaga ‘yung sasakyan ko. The rest, puro sa pagpapagawa po ng bahay ‘yung nagastos ko,” she said.
