ANNE CURTIS – Filipina-Australian actress Anne Curtis penned an emotional post after completing the Tokyo Marathon.

The marathon is a 42.195 km long foot race that is typically raced on roads, but it can also be completed on trail routes. You can run the marathon or use a run/walk method to finish it.

Among the finishers of the 2023 Tokyo Marathon, which was run on March 5 on Sunday, was Its’ Showtime host Anne Curtis. Anne expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped her in getting to the finish line on Instagram.

Anne Curtis got emotional after finishing the marathon in support of children who have been victims of exploitation, violence, and abuse. On Sunday, March 5, Anne said on her Instagram account that “every single kilometer” of the Tokyo marathon was worth it because it was completed for a good cause.

The actress serves as a celebrity ambassador for Unicef, a United Nations agency that supports youth development and humanitarian efforts around the world.

“Being a mother, now as well, I couldn’t help but get emotional when I crossed that finish line. It just hit a little differently this time around. Running with a purpose bigger than just receiving a medal kept me fueled,” Anne said in the caption.

Anne further disclosed that, with the assistance of sports scientist Gabb Rosario, she had only trained for about eight weeks. She also expressed her gratitude for the assistance to her loved ones, UNICEF Philippines.

“Thank you to my coach, @gabbrosario, for taking on the impossible challenge of just 8 weeks to [prepare] me. The whole @unicefph team who helped me set the fundraiser up and educated me on the whole set up of telecpus in [barangays] all across the Philippines,” she added.
