BARBIE FORTEZA – The young Kapuso actress revealed that she was bullied in school when she was in elementary.

One of the successful Kapuso stars in the showbiz industry is actress Barbie Forteza. In real-life, she is actress Barbara Ambas Forteza and she came from a non-showbiz family. She is one of the stars who had a very humble beginning in the showbiz industry.

As a child, Barbie used to audition for TV commercials. It was a challenge for her and her parents considering that they did not have enough then when it comes to finances. Meanwhile, her parents supported her with what she really wants and they save for their transportation to the shoot.

During her interview with Karen Davila for a vlog, Barbie Forteza revealed that they met an agent who was the one getting “extras” for GMA projects. She was an extra in Lupin, the TV series top-billed by former Kapuso star Richard Gutierrez.

During the vlog interview, Barbie admitted that she did not come from a rich family but she has no complaints about her childhood. She stressed that she really enjoyed her childhood and she loves the simple things in life like riding a tricycle. Her father was a tricycle driver.

In a part of the interview, Barbie Forteza revealed that she experienced being bullied when she was in elementary. According to the young actress, her classmate would list her as noisy if she would not let her borrow P5.00. If that happens, she would have to clean even if she is not one of the cleaners for the day. So she would sometimes lend her money until the debt reached P25.00.

During the interview, when asked about its effect on her, Barbie said that it taught her to be more “mindful” in choosing her friends until now. Here is the full vlog interview posted on YouTube:
