Jane de Leon will forever be known as one of the Darna actresses
Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon shared the life lessons she learned from her portrayal of the iconic Pinay superhero Darna.
It is no doubt that Jane’s career was boosted by her stint as the Darna actress. Through this project, more opportunities in showbiz opened for her as she had her first leading role on TV.
Although there were negative reactions to her portrayal of Darna, as well as the whole production, fans continue to support the series.
In a recent interview, based on the video clip shared on the official Twitter page of ABS-CBN PR, Jane de Leon was asked about the life lessons she learned from her superhero character.
She said that she learned to give importance to her loved ones. “Natutunan ko, na you really have to appreciate your loved ones,” Jane said, adding that she also learned the value of having patience.
The actress also said that patience is important not just in the show but in real life also as well as in her future endeavors.
Meanwhile, Jane recently clarified the issue that she did “pag-iinarte,” and so the supposed guesting of Regine Velasquez for the final episode did not happen. Rumors surfaced that the Asia’s Songbird already said yes to this guesting but it was alleged that Jane just wanted to have a body double to have the scene with Regine.
The Darna actress clarified that Regine’s guesting did not push through because their schedule did not match.
Through this series, a friendship between Jane de Leon and Janella Salvador, who played the iconic villain role Valentina, were able to become friends. They said that their friendship will go beyond the series.
