Dubbed Asia’s Songbird is Regine Velasquez and she did gain this name because of her undeniable talent. She is known for her vocal range and belting technique. Her successful career started after winning the television talent show Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. 

Araw-Gabi, Kung Maibabalik Ko Lang, Hanggang Ngayon, Tuwing Umuulan, Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka, Dadalhin, You’ve Made Me Stronger, On the Wings of Love, You Are My Song, Babalik Kang Muli, Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang, and Narito Ako are among the songs she famed.

Apart from being a singer, she is also an award-winning actress. She did a lot of movies, television series, and other acting projects.

She is currently under the ABS-CBN network and in a recent episode of Its Showtime where she appeared as a guest, she received some breathing lessons from none other than, Anne Curtis. Vice Ganda pushed Anne to teach her the song and she ride on with the joke they are trying to play.

She was acting as if she cannot properly do a part of her song “Dadalhin” but Anne was there to save her and to also teach her. The teasing moment brought fun and laughter to their audience.
