Luxury bags are not just fashion pieces but also investment pieces. And when one is good at handling his or her finances or saving up, this kind of investment piece is within reach. And adding to her collection of luxury bags, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez received one from Dior.
It was given to him by her husband Ogie Alcasid for this year’s Christmas. And there’s a story behind his purchase.
According to him, he once spotted her looking at this one piece in a store that he knew she won’t buy. She was stopping herself from buying it but he saw the glint of glow in her eyes when she saw it, so, he bought it for her.
“I really love seeing my wife getting excited over anything much more a surprise present. You deserve much more my love and Merry Christmas,” he added.
He purchased a brand new Lady D-Joy bag from the brand’s Winter Garden or Jardin d’Hiver collection. Ogie first pretended that it was from a brand as a gift for her but she was stunned when she finally saw what was inside.
“It’s a bag! Did you give me this?” she quipped already suspicious.
According to Dior’s official website, it is available for USD 6,000 or Php 334,527.00.

The bag is sculpted and hand-painted in calfskin. It features one removable chain shoulder strap and another adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap. It can be carried by hand, worn over the shoulder, or crossbody.
