Billy Crawford reacted to Alex Gonzaga’s recent controversy
Singer-host Billy Crawford said that he sympathizes with actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga amid the recent controversy she is involved with.
Alex garnered a massive amount of bashing online due to her viral video in which she smeared the face of a waiter with icing during her 35th birthday party. Although there were celebrities who defended her, like singer Kris Lawrence and vlogger Toni Fowler, still the bashing against her gets louder.
In a recent interview, Billy was asked about his Tropang LOL co-host. He shared that he and Alex had a conversation after the incident went viral.
“Sabi ko, ‘ayan ka na naman, laman ka na naman ng news, congratulations, trending ka na naman.’ Siya ang kauna-unahang nag-trending ng masama sa birthday,” the singer-host said.
Billy Crawford also said that he pities his noontime show co-host and he hopes that she will learn from this. “Kawawa naman, naaawa na ako sa kanya, sa totoo lang. Pero God works in mysterious ways, sinasabi ko sa ‘yo. We’ll learn our lessons at the end of the day,” he said.
He also said that he hopes everyone will move on from this already. Billy added that Alex has learned from what happened. “Mas maraming importanteng mga bagay na nasa paligid natin na kailangan nating pag-usapan, sa totoo lang. I think, we’re really feasting on negativity around us,” he stressed.
Billy also shared that he is guilty of smearing his friends’ faces with icing before but he knows there is a consequence to this. He stressed that Alex knows that she made a mistake and she is really sorry.
Meanwhile, Billy Crawford was one of the celebrities who graced the grand launching of the new streaming platform Viva Prime.
