Billy Crawford talked about his previous noontime show
Billy is formerly one of the hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show. He resigned and eventually appeared on the noontime show of the Kapatid network. His transfer to TV5 somehow raised controversies.
Rumor has it that there was a conflict that happened between him and his former co-hosts. The rumors took a higher notch when former It’s Showtime director Bobet Vidanes also transferred to LOL.
On July 16, the back-to-back airing of LOL and It’s Showtime started. When the collaboration was announced, different opinions were expressed online but the most prominent comments were expressions of being happy for the two shows. The Kapatid noontime show took the 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m time slot and after that, it was the Kapamilya noontime show’s time.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Billy Crawford expressed that somehow he already expected the collaboration to happen. “Nakakalimutan ng mga tao ng mundo na iisa ang industriya natin at ang manonood talaga dito ang tina-try natin pasiyahin. I know one day, it’s gonna happen somehow at nagtatagpo rin kami,” the singer-host said.
He also said that he has no hard feelings about the back-to-back airing of their show and this is despite the fact that the camp of It’s Showtime is not doing their part. “Look, at the end of the day, it’s a business decision. The guys up there are the ones calling the shots and tayo, we do our best in our jobs para pasayahin ang audience. Audience ang panalo rito,” Billy Crawford said.
Lunch Out Loud also features K Brosas, Bayani Agbayani, Wacky Kiray, Jeff Tam, KC Montero, Laboching, Isabelle Daza and Alex Gonzaga.
