Netizen Shares What Happened to P1000 Polymer Banknote after he Ironed his Pants

NETIZEN – Jonathan De Vera shared on what happened after he ironed his pants and forgot that his P1000 polymer banknote was in its pocket.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has released P1,000 polymer banknotes bearing a new design in 2022. It featured the Philippine Eagle which replaced the images of heroes Jose Abad Santos, Josefa Llanes Escoda, and Vicente Lim.

Amid the release of the new banknotes, the Central Bank has released guidelines on the handling of the money made from materials that are different from most of the circulating banknotes. The bank advised the populace to keep the banknotes clean and whole.

Undeniably, a lot of Filipinos are quite hesitant in handling the said banknotes while many are also excited to get at least one of the new P1000 polymer banknotes. However, recently, it is quite a different experience for netizen Jonathan De Vera.

On Facebook, Jonathan shared his “irritating” experience with his P1000 polymer bill and advised the public not to follow it. According to the netizen, he accidentally left his money inside his pants. However, he decided to iron his pants and he did it while forgetting to take his bill that is inside its pocket.

Jonathan stated that he only remembered about his P1000 polymer banknote when he reversed his pants and he felt the money inside its pocket. The netizen was frustrated over what happened saying the P1000 bill will supposedly be used for his enrollment fee. He stressed a moral lesson not to put your money inside your pocket but place it in a wallet instead.
