5 Alleged Members of Robbery-Holdup Group in Pasay City Arrested by Cops
ROBBERY INCIDENT – The police authorities have arrested at least five alleged members of a robbery-holdup group in Pasay City.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
Recently, Pasay City Police were able to locate the suspects with the help of CCTV footage. The illegal activity of the culprits has been caught on the CCTV footage. The suspects were alleged members of the ‘Donggan Brothers Robbery Holdup Criminal Group,’ according to the cops.
The police authorities were able to trace the group after the CCTV footage captured the motorcycle used in the crime with the help of some informants.
“Itong criminal gang na ito, actually, nago-operate ito sa Kalakhang Maynila pero naka-base sila dito sa Pasay City,” Pasay City Police chief Police Colonel Byron Tabernilla.
Cops were able to arrest the alleged group leader identified as Viron Baning alias Byron Dongan and his wife Kristine Javier who allegedly served as the group’s “tipster” during the operation.
Kristine’s sibling Michael Perez and their stepfather Bryan Bautista have been arrested together with another group member named Jeffrey Novencido. Unfortunately, the group denied the accusations against them.
“Marami lang po talagang galit at gumagamit ng pangalan ko,” Viron said.
Baning will face charges of carnapping and frustrated homicide. The authorities also recovered the motorcycle, illegal drugs worth P18,000, and firearms used in the crime. The group denied the accusations against them.
