PAGASA Release Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (December 13, 2022)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Rosal has weakened into a low-pressure area.
On Tuesday (December 13, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Rosal will continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Rosal transitioned into a post-tropical low-pressure area. It has been last spotted 1,020 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon.
The Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.
The LPA will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
“The post-tropical low is too far to affect the weather condition in the country directly,” PAGASA said.
The post-tropical low no longer enhances the Northeast Monsoon’s surge but fisher folks using small sea crafts were advised to take precautionary measures when venturing due to the marine gale warning.
“Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating these conditions,” the agency said.
“This so-called post-tropical low is expected to dissipate within 24 hours due to the unfavorable conditions brought about by the surge of the northeast monsoon,” PAGASA added.
