PAGASA Says Shearline to Affect PH Weather Condition on Thursday

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (December 7, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Shear line will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the shear line will be affecting Northern Luzon. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.

Meron tayong minomonitor na mga cloud clusters dito sa may Timog Silangan ng PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) line kung saan continuous monitoring tayo sa mga ka-ulapan na ito, sa posibilidad na ito ay magkaroon ng circulation at maaaring magdulot ito ng pag-ulan sa mga susunod na araw dito sa may bahagi ng Southern Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Apayao, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte. Light to moderate rains are being experienced in Isabela, Kalinga and Mountain Province.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods and landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
