PAGASA Says LPA & Shearline to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area east of Sorsogon and shear line will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (December 10, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and shear line will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted 215 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon. The shear line will be affecting Northern Luzon.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over National Capital Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Visayas.

The shear line will bring similar weather conditions over Cagayan Valley.

The Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Mindanao as well as the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency has also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be rough. Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
