84-Year-Old Breadwinner in Viral Photo Receives Help From Kind-Hearted Individuals
The 84-year-old breadwinner received cash assistance after the heartbreaking photo circulates on social media.
Earlier, a netizen named Sarkie Cedric Ortiz II has shared heartbreaking photos of an elderly vendor selling bread to earn money and help her family. The photos garnered reactions from the online community.
The elderly breadwinner named Nanay Rosalina Perpetua is roaming around Barangay Angeles Atimonan, Quezon to sell bread. Carrying a heavy trolley, the senior citizen is enduring all the hardships just to support her family.
Despite her old age, the poor grandma decides to work and earn a small amount to provide for the daily necessities of her family. She has 12 children who have their own families as well.
The grandma vendor is suffering from blurry vision and exhaustion from work because of her old age but she is happy to see customers enjoying her products.
Ortiz took photos of Nanay Rosalina and posted it on social media for a contest. Luckily, Sarkie’s photo featuring Rosalina Perpetua wins first place in “WishUponASTAN”.
Perpetua received a cash reward worth P10, 000. The senior citizen considers the money as an early Christmas gift.

Hindi lamang ito kwento ng pagsusumikap ito ay kwento din ng isang ilaw ng tahanan na lahat ay kakayanin para sa pamilya.
Muli po maraming maraming salamat kay God, sa mga tumulong at sumuporta para kay nanay Rosalina at sa ating butihing Gobernadora Dra. Helen Tan, dahil po sa inyo ay nakaramdam po si nanay ng liwanag ng pag-asa. Sa mga gusto pa pong tumulong pa kay nanay bukas po ang aking linya, makiki-message nlang po ko at gustong gusto ko po talaga si nanay mapatingnan muna kanyang mga mata at ang kanyang kalusugan”
