Herlene Budol Thanks Filipino Community In Uganda

HERLENE BUDOL – Beauty queen Herlene Budol penned a heartwarming message for the Filipino community in Uganda.

Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol recently jetted off to Kampala, Uganda, where she would compete in the Miss Planet International 2022 pageant that was set to take place on Nov. 19. However, a few days after the beauty queen arrived, she and her team made the decision to withdraw from the contest because of “pageant debacles.”

The delegates’ teams reportedly had to make their own hotel reservations in Uganda and were not provided with meals or lodging during their stay. The Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up was seen in tears as she pleaded with the pageant’s organizers to let her go home in a vlog posted by Herlene’s talent manager Wilbert Tolentino.

The organizers of the MPI issued a statement confirming that the beauty pageant is postponed and will be held next year in Cambodia instead.

“We regret to inform [you] that the finals and preliminary competitions won’t be held due to the host organizers [failure] to comply and meet the requirements for [the events]. […] We would like to express our sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused.”
