Herlene Budol Backs Out From Miss Planet International 2022, Here's Why

Wilbert Tolentino explained why Herlene Budol won’t push through in joining the pageant anymore.

HERLENE BUDOL – Beauty queen Herlene Budol’s talent manager Wilbert Tolentino withdraws her from the competition.

Miss Planet International 2022 allegedly got canceled. This is a pageant where Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol will be competing to represent the Philippines. However, two of the candidates in the competition, from Jamaica and the Czech Republic, claimed that it got canceled.

Miss Planet Czech Republic Tamila Sparrow even expressed that it seems like the candidates were robbed because they were the ones who paid for their own food and accommodation.

“I have to apologize, but unfortunately we were robbed. We haven’t had even 10% of the activity, nothing was paid, nor our accommodation nor our food. We’re stuck in Uganda,” she said.

And just recently, Budol’s talent manager, Wilbert Tolentino, shared an update with the people disclosing that they have backed out from the competition.

The “uncertainties” of the organizers prompted them to withdraw adding that Ugandan Government seems like doesn’t have any plans to intervene.

Tolentino wrote, “We apologize to the supporters, who were rooting for since day one. To the team, sponsors, and designers. Thank you and I am sorry.”

As the MPP National Director, he aired his hurt stating that they did not only lose the crown, money, and effort but also time, They lost time and they wasted time. He even described that it was a traumatic experience.
