Keempee de Leon Says He has Forgiven over Past Rift w/ Eat Bulaga
KEEMPEE DE LEON – The Kapamilya actor claimed that Eat Bulaga did not give him a reason for removing him from the show in 2016.
One of the longest-running variety shows in the Philippine showbiz industry is Eat Bulaga, the noontime variety show of GMA-7 network with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon as the firsts and main hosts.
Several people later on joined the trio in hosting for Eat Bulagas. A lot of segments were done and the show is ongoing for decades now. Some new hosts have joined the show while other hosts are no longer part of the show.
One of the former hosts of Eat Bulaga is the son of Joey, actor-comedian Keempee de Leon. He was a part of the program for 14 years before he was removed from the show in 2016.
Based on an article on Pep, Keempee de Leon admitted in 2019 that he has developed negative feelings against Eat Bulaga then over what happened. According to him, he was not given a reason why he was removed from the show.
Keempee who is now part of ABS-CBN said that it was the major reason why he had severe depression and trauma. It was in the same year, 2019, when he transferred to the Kapamilya network.
Meanwhile, based on the article, although it may have taken years for the wounds to heal, Keempee said that he is now at peace and he has gotten over the said painful part of his life. He stressed that he has moved on and he has forgiven the people who have hurt him.
“By the grace of God, thankful ako na na-guide ako ni God to forgive kung sino man yung nakasakit sa akin, o kung anuman, kung nawala ako sa show,” he said.
Then, he stressed that his hopes for a brighter future. Recently, he was part of the casts of the hit Kapamilya TV series 2 Good 2 Be True. He is also the main cast in the comedy film Mahal Kita, Beksman which is set to be in cinemas on November 16.
