Couple Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa celebrate another milestone.
TITO SOTTO AND HELEN GAMBOA – Celebrity couple Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa celebrate their 53rd anniversary.
Among the well-respected personalities in the industry are Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa have been married for 53 years now. Theirs is a love story worth telling. Helen, fondly called Tita Helen of the industry, shared that they eloped.
The night they decided to go away, there was nothing that stopped them. No one woke up and non of the four dogs barked that night and from there, Helen knew they are meant to be. They got married but their happily ever after did not start there.
He returned her to her parents and they will be allowed to be together with one condition.
Helen shared, “I would live at our home and Tito at his home but he could visit me M-W-F. So he started courting me again, visiting me at our home. He would even watch over me on the set during my shoot, at andoon din ang mama ko. So I had two guards.”
Two years after that set-up, they married again and this time around, they finally got their chance to have a honeymoon.
And now, for the 53rd year of their wedding, Sotto has this short but sweet message for her: “Happy 53rd Anniversary to my lovely bride ❤️Sept 22, 1969”
To recall, way back in 2019, they celebrated their 50th year as a married couple. They sealed this off with a renewal of vows at Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish in Batangas. This is the same church they exchanged “I dos” after they had eloped.
