Joey de Leon celebrated his birthday with the Dabarkads
Henyo Master Joey de Leon has this special wish for “Mga Batang Hamog” of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
For more than four decades, the noontime show never fails to introduce new talents and highlight the talents of every Dabarkad. Now, the viewers are loving the group of Maine Mendoza, Maja Salvador, Miles Ocampo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
The four female Dabarkads would wear their “batang hamog” costumes and do their skits with other hosts of the show. Last October 15, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, a portion was dedicated to Joey de Leon as a celebration of his birthday.
Every Dabarkad gave their birthday message to the Henyo Master. Former Senate President Tito Sotto, who is one of the pioneer hosts of the show, has this funny wish for Joey.
“Ang wish ko sa’yo, humaba pa nang humaba ang buhay mo. ‘Yung sawang-sawa ka na,” Tito Sen said. Bossing Vic Sotto also said, “Hanggang manawa ka.”
Then, the Henyo Master shared his wish that is specifically addressed to “Mga Batang Hamog.” “Ang wish ko, kumanta ng ‘Top Hits’ ‘yung mga ‘hamog’. Yung mga ‘Batang Hamog’ kakanta ng mga ginawa namin nina Tito at ni Vic. Kahit ako matutuwa ako. Magandang Christmas gift para sa amin,” Joey said.
He was referring to the songs that he, Vic, and Tito popularized. This received a reaction from Maine Mendoza. The Phenomenal Star said that her wish is that Joey’s birthday wish will change because she is already feeling the pressure. Miles and Maja who were from the Kapamilya network expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to work with Joey de Leon.
Meanwhile, Joey de Leon has a Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 movie titled My Teacher with Toni Gonzaga that is directed by Paul Soriano.
