Yeng Constantino Apologizes After Ryan Bang Gets Emotional
YENG CONSTANTINO – The singer admitted that she regretted serenading Ryan Bang during her 20th anniversary concert after seeing how emotional he became when their past was brought up on It’s Showtime.
Yeng serenaded Ryan during the second night of her anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum on August 29, 2026. She also recalled their history from 2010, when Ryan had reportedly courted her and she considered him her crush. However, their relationship did not continue, and Ryan eventually stopped responding to her messages.
The concert moment was discussed on It’s Showtime on September 2. Ryan became emotional as he remembered his younger years and his connection with Yeng. He reflected on how she had shown interest in him when he was still starting out and had little money or material possessions. The experience made him wonder if he could still find someone who would accept and love him completely.
Yeng later said she was only being playful during the concert and did not expect her actions to bring back painful memories for Ryan. After seeing his emotional reaction, she admitted that she felt sorry for what happened.
She said she immediately messaged Ryan and sincerely apologized for bringing up memories that may have hurt him. Yeng also assured him that he deserves to be loved, cared for, and appreciated. She described Ryan as a kind person with a big heart and expressed hope that he would eventually find the right partner.
Yeng also clarified that her husband, Yan Asuncion, was not jealous of Ryan. She said Yan understood that her actions were simply playful because he knows her well. In fact, Yan reportedly sympathized with Ryan after seeing him become emotional.
Yeng added that she hopes to spend time with Ryan outside of It’s Showtime. She recently invited him to play pickleball, while Ryan suggested meeting at his restaurant instead.
