Quiboloy Case vs. Pacquiao: Davao City Fiscal Releases Decision on Complaint

QUIBOLOY CASE VS. PACQUIAO – The Davao City Prosecutor’s Office has released the decision on the complaint of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy against former Senator Manny Pacquiao.

One of those that organized a presidential debate in the May 2022 Elections is the Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) owned by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who endorsed then presidential race frontrunner Bongbong Marcos. Several candidates for president including then Sen. Manny Pacquiao refused to attend the debate. He cited that the organizer is owned by Quiboloy who is facing ill accusations as per the U.S. government. The Pastor filed a complaint against the then Senator regarding his statement.

4 Presidential Bets Won’t Join SMNI Debate

PRESIDENTIAL BETS – Four (4) candidates in the upcoming May 2022 Election refused to join the debate hosted by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy‘s Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI).

The Election 2022 is less than three (3) months away from now and the campaign period has already started. Last February 8, the presidential candidates held their proclamation rally in different areas with most of them having it at their bailiwick.

Several national parties have already pledged their support to specific candidates. The candidates have started visiting several cities and provinces to lay down their platforms for the people. Interviews with the presidential bets as guests were also held.

Recently, the Sonshine Media Network International or SMNI owned by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy confirmed that they organized a presidential debate. However, four (4) presidential bets declined the debate invitation.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the four (4) presidential bets who refused to join the debate organized by SMNI owned by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy are Senators Ping Lacson and Manny Pacquiao, Vice President Leni Robredo, and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

According to Sen. Lacson, it is “common sense” not to join the debate since Pastor Quiboloy has already endorsed presidential candidate and former Sen. Bongbong Marcos. As for Sen. Pacquiao, his conscience doesn’t allow him to participate in an event hosted by Quiboloy citing the allegations against the SMNI owner. He also has a pending cyber libel case against the Pastor.

Leni Robredo

Both Vice Pres. Robredo and Mayor Moreno are set to visit certain areas thus they cannot join the debate. The Vice President’s camp assured that she will join in all future debates allowed by the Comelec and the accredited ones.
