Police Authorities Arrest 4 Holdup Suspects Using GPS of Victim’s Stolen Mobile Phone

QUEZON CITY – The police authorities arrested several holdup suspects using the GPS of victim’s stolen mobile phone.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.

The 32-year-old female accountant suffered extreme fear and trauma after she was victimized by a holdup suspect in EDSA while heading home. The suspects immediately run away after performing their illegal activity.

The culprits stole the victim’s mobile phone, laptop, pieces of jewelry, and cash worth P10, 000. The victim went to Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 10 to report the incident. The cops immediately launched a follow-up operation.

The police authorities were able to arrest the holdup suspects using the global positioning system (GPS) of the victim’s stolen mobile phone. The four holdup suspects have been nabbed in Barangay Bagong Pag-Asa.

The authorities recovered the stolen items and a ‘sumpak’ from the suspect. The victim and the suspects faced each other at the police station.

Two suspects have admitted their crime while the two others denied the accusations against them. The four will face charges of robbery.
