Xian Lim aspires to direct Kim Chiu someday
Kapuso actor Xian Lim admitted that he still gets “kilig” with his girlfriend Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu.
Xian and Kim have been love team partners for 11 years now. Their onscreen tandem started through the series My Binondo Girl in 2011. From that, they did several series and movies together as the KimXi tandem.
This year, they star in their reunion movie Always, an adaptation of a South Korean movie with the same title. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Kim said that although she and Xian are frequently together, it is still different when they are working together on a set.
“We were excited, but we were also a bit worried. Sana ‘di kami magtawanan, because of our inside jokes. I hope our portrayals of Lino and Anna are different from who we are as a couple,” the actress said.
Xian said that there is a certain familiarity between him and Kim but definitely, the butterfly in his stomach is still there.
“It’s challenging because we’re already so familiar with one another. But at the same time, I’m happy because I still get kilig with Kim. It’s like I’m meeting her for the first time,” the actor said.
Xian Lim also shared that he is proud of how his girlfriend has grown as an actress over the years from their first project together until their new movie.
Kim Chiu highlighted the dedication that her boyfriend did in this movie. She said that Xian really put himself on a strict diet. Kim jokingly said that he did this in order for him to look good in the scene wherein he had to remove his shirt.
The Kapuso actor, who also ventured into directing, said that he is looking forward to having the chance to direct his girlfriend someday.
