Malabon Declares Class Suspension Due to Inclement Weather on Monday Afternoon (September 19)
WALANG PASOK – The local government of Malabon has declared class suspension due to the inclement weather condition.
On Monday (September 19, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring rainshowers and thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
The habagat will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan including the Kalayaan Islands.
PAGASA also advised the residents in the affected area of possible flash floods and landslides due to habagat-induced rains.
The Facebook page “Malabon City Government” has reported the cancellation of afternoon classes at all levels, both in public and private schools on Monday. The announcement elicits comments online.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval approved the recommendation of LDRRMC to suspend the classes across the town due to the inclement weather condition. The announcement has been made to ensure the safety of both school personnel and students.
Other areas have yet to make similar announcements as of this writing.
