2 Students Allegedly Selling Illegal Drugs in Nueva Vizcaya Arrested
Police authorities arrested two (2) students who are allegedly selling illegal drugs called ‘shabu’ in Nueva Vizcaya.
The two students were detained at Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, by joint members of the Bambang Police and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) – Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO), in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional Office 2 (R02). The arrest was the result of a drug buy-bust operation by the authorities.
The narcotics suspects were named in the report as Ram, 17, a resident of Brgy. Banggot, Bambang and Marc, 17, residents of Sitio Punawa, Brgy. Calaocan, Bambang. The two young suspects were apprehended when a policeman pretended to be a poser customer.
They were placed in handcuffs after selling a police officer a single, heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing what was thought to be shabu, a white, crystalline drug. They were found to have in their possession a dark brown pocketbook that contained a sheet of paper with what appeared to be dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops.
A disposable lighter, a glass tube pipe with suspected marijuana residue, marked cash, a cell phone with a vaccination card inside, an iPhone touch screen, a pack of cigarettes, three plastic sachets containing what is thought to be shabu—a white, crystalline substance—and an unregistered Mio Sporty motorcycle were also found.
The suspects travel and conduct business on the Mio Sporty motorcycle in order to deliver illegal substances. The Bambang Police are in charge of those who were detained as well as the illegal dangerous narcotics that were seized, the worth of which has not yet been established.
According to the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office, their case was turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and it is believed that the accused are children.
